NEC and Nissan joint venture of a new generation of high-performance lithium batteries

Recently, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to Nissan) and the Nippon Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NEC), NEC Tokin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NEC Togane) joint venture, Automotive Energy Supply Company (Automotive Energy Supply Corporation, hereinafter referred to AESC) announced in Zama, Kanagawa Prefecture plant began trial production a new generation of automotive lithium batteries 6Y270 battery , 75UYF battery , 7T670 battery .
And compared to the current nickel-metal hydride batteries, AESC Li-ion battery developed to provide nearly twice the power capacity. And unique pyramid structure, and also the size of lithium-ion laptop battery  module is more compact and practical. At the same time, NEC Group, the development of the electrode made of manganese metal, with better stability, sheet structure also contribute to cooling performance. The vehicles in the real experiment, not only the safety of products has been verified, but also the realization of more than 100,000 kilometers of travel (*) The long service life.
At present, the AESC has been established for mass production system, it is estimated that annual production capacity of about 13,000 about Taiwan’s future production capacity will be gradually AESC, and in 2011 in Taiwan to reach the scale of 65,000.
By AESC Li-ion Latitude D830 battery production, mainly to supply Nissan in 2010 in the United States and Japan’s production of electric vehicles, as well as the Nissan Hybrid cars. Does not rule out future AESC will supply its products to other automobile manufacturers.
