Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Sticking to their own standards for years, Sony Memory Stick last year, service and software announced at CES earlier this year in the cyber-shot digital cameras and Handycam digital video cameras for support standard SD card. Sony recently announced on his official site, Cyber-shot series consumer digital camera memory types map corresponding to some models, the original Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo / Pro Duo-HD SDHC / SD, based on last increase SDXC card. Specific models, including: Cyber-shot DSC-HX5v, Cyber-shot DSC-TX7, Cyber-shot DSC-TX5, Cyber-shot DSC-W380, Cyber-shot DSC-W350, Cyber-shot DSC-W350D. To “green consumption” enjoys popular support

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Nowadays, as long as research and “green consumption” related news, you will find a number of companies are most often playing the “green consumer” brand, which seems to be an excellent promotion their slogans. In our daily lives, many consumers are confused Quedui green consumption. This gives us a new question: How to make the concept of the consumption of more green consumers.

For the concept of green consumption deeply rooted among the first to discover the meaning of green consumption. In short, green consumption generally have three meanings: the consumption of non-polluting materials; consumption process does not pollute the environment and consciously resist those who destroy the environment without having to spend a lot of wasted resources or goods . We can say that the concept of green consumption is a new rational consumption.

consumption and production ecological green is closely related to most consumers do not advocate green consumption, can in turn promote green production. To meet the needs of consumers of green consumption, producers must develop new environmentally friendly products, to create first-class new products, producers need to change the traditional production model, the implementation of cleaner production ; to win the favor of consumers, to make money, producers need new image for the protection of the environment.

In fact, to make concepts of green consumption deeply rooted among the long way to go. Take the used batteries for recycling and disposal, to know people actually used batteries has been very difficult, but how consumers deal with waste batteries really serious? The use of plastic bags, consumption of forest resources for the purchase of necessary supplies, consumption of wild animals, etc., we can say anywhere. Only through the active promotion of green consumption, green consumption vigorously carry out activities to guide and support the production of green products in order to deepen the green consumer.

Apple Worldwide Developers Conference expensive tickets sold out 8 days

Samsung Q1 UMPC

We already knew that Samsung (and pretty much every other major PC makers) had a tablet PC in the works. Now a few more details are leaking out of Korea, courtesy of Etnews. I’d take this with a grain of salt, since I still haven’t heard anything official, but Etnews reports that the tablet will tentatively be called the S-Pad, and that it will have a 7 inch Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung tablet will also reportedly run Google Android,dell-gd761.htm”>GD761 ,  despite some reports that are apparently suggesting it might run Samsung’s BADA OS, which was also developed for smartphones. The tablet will reportedly sport WiFi and 3G wireless connectivity options, although like the Apple iPad, the Samsung S-Pad will apparently be available with WiFi only at launch.

Of course, if you just can’t wait until August for the Samsung S-Pad, you could always just build your own Samsung tablet by taking apart a Samsung netbook and putting it back together again — without the keyboard.

Samsung has dabbled in the tablet space in the past, with UMPCs like the Samsung Q1 pictured above.

Sony started selling the U.S. extension of the scheme PS3/PSP

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Years of feedback from users point of view, the quality of battery.co.uk/sony-vgp-bps8.htm”>Sony’s console is always reliable, at least not like the Xbox 360 3 red as a serious problem. However, Sony has also launched its U.S. site called “PlayStation Protection Plan” from the extension of the scheme.

The program supports sections of PS3 and PSP models can be based on the original one year warranty to two years to extend the warranty. During the extended warranty, plus screen dead pixels, destroys all quality problems outside the warranty period can be the same warranty, but does not include data recovery services. In addition, the PSP is also an optional service protection against accidental damage, even for accidental falls, impact and other problems caused by off-screen can be replaced and repaired.

PS3 extended warranty for one year the price of 44.99 U.S. dollars, two years for U.S. $ 59.99. PSP extended warranty is 29.99 U.S. dollars per year, two years required to 39.99 dollars, and more against accidental damage needs $ 10.

Asus Eee PC T101MT

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Engadget has published a detailed review of the Asus Eee PC T101MT convertible touchscreen style netbook which recently started shipping in the the US. And overall, Engadget’s Joanna Stern seems to think the machine works pretty well — as a netbook. Unfortunately, the T101MT’s defining feature is the fact that it’s not just a netbook, it can also be used as a tablet. And when you fold the screen down and try to use the computer in tablet mode, you’re in for a rather unpleasant experience.

First, it has a resistive multitouch display instead of a capacitive screen. That means you can easily interact with the screen with the included stylus or by pressing your fingers on the screen rather hard.

But the bigger problem is that the computer ships with Windows 7 Starter Edition, which doesn’t support multitouch gestures, doesn’t automatically bring up an on-screen keyboard when you tap on a text box, and doesn’t support flick gestures (such as navigating through web sites in Internet Explorer by tapping and dragging on the web page instead of the scrollbars).laptop battery

Asus does bundle a third party on-screen keyboard, but you need to bring it up manually every time you want to enter text. And you’re going to end up tapping at the keyboard with a stylus instead of your fingers since the resistive display isn’t that responsive to fingertips and the operating system doesn’t recognize multitouch.

Asus does offer the Eee PC T101MT with Windows 7 Home Premium in other countries, but has no plans to offer that option in the US. Of course,  you can upgrade from Windows 7 Starter yourself for about $50. But even if you do that, there are some issues. There’s no accelerometer, which means the display won’t auto-rotate when you change from landscape to portrait mode. You have to press a button to manually rotate the screen – which Joanna says takes about 5 seconds.

All in all, if the Eee PC T101MT sold for under $400, I suppose you could say it was just another netbook with the added bonus of a touchscreen that you could use if you really wanted it. But at $499, the T101MT is a premium device (for a netbook, anyway), and you kind of expect it to work better as a tablet, since the touchscreen interface is its main selling point.

Unfortunately, the problem isn’t just with the Asus tablet. As I pointed out in my CTL Convertible Classmate PC2 review, I’m just not sure that it makes sense to build a touchscreen tablet with the same specs as a typical netbook (Windows 7, Intel Atom CPU, and 1024 x 600 pixel display). I’ll have a review of the Lenovo Ideapad S10-3t later this week, and by way of preview, I can tell you right now that it’s not without some issues as well.

WePad

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

The WePad is an 11.6 inch tablet computer running Google Android with a highly polished custom user interface. And it’s kind of everything the Apple iPad isn’t. The WePad has a high resolution 1366 x 768 pixel display, USB ports, support for Adobe Flash, HDMI output, and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator for handling HD video playback.

Unfortunately when Germany company Neofonie launched the tablet a few weeks ago, the only prototype on hand was showing a video demo of the user interface instead of running the actual software that’s supposed to ship with the WePad. So Neofonie produced a new video showing he UI in action. And now the company has gone a few steps further by inviting a handful of tech journalists back to get a closer look at the WePad.

After the break you can find hands-on videos from Android Pit and Netbook News.de.

Unfortunately all of the videos are in German. But there’s a good 35 minutes of footage showing that the WePad really does work the way it’s supposed to.

The home screen is full of widgets for Facebook, laptop battery , Google, and other services. I’m particularly impressed with the sidebar where you can scroll your finger to change your position on the home screen to see different widgets.

Neofonie has also added a series of promotional photos of the tablet to its web site, including the one above. You can find more at WePad.mobi.

Smart phones will boost battery development

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Whenever there is an “iPhone” user, I would ask: “How long the battery can be used?” And to answer some above. I think this may be caused by a variety of applications due charm, will be used accidentally. As a result, many people are concerned about the depletion of the battery complaint.

See United States, Apple has announced “iPhone 3G” as the technical parameters, for example, when using the Internet, 3G can be used up to 5 hours of wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) for a maximum of 9:00. In fact, something that makes users feel concerned about re-measurement indicator. They say that good sales potential in Japan and Sweden joint venture Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB) has made “Xperia is also equipped with a touch screen, high performance. Users also have the same penalty. He seems smart phone functionality with the lithium-ion battery with the performance of the balance there is still room for improvement.

It is not just smart phones this problem. For example, the mini digital camera with video capture function improvement, so that the margins of the users concerned that the increase in battery. VCR, recent models of continuous shooting time of about half past one in the mainstream, at the opening ceremony of the Games and the Golden Week travel such a shock, the user need to use a spare battery. Some companies have also heard the voice. Japan Han Huagong Division (Hanwha Japan) has launched a service with more than 22 April 2010 began delivering full support for HD video price 19.800 yen “UMA-HDDV-2″, the leading provider products, grouped rechargeable battery (battery capacity is 1700mAh).

Currently, users of the battery becomes very sensitive. Consequently, the Energy Technology Wireless was very hopeful. Thanks to the “trickle down” to recharge, eliminating the problems of battery depletion. Practical steps have been recently accelerated. Recently, Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) began to member companies to provide smart phones and digital cameras and other equipment, the official version with the standard transmission. WPC is powered groups of the wireless industry, joined the company as of April 22, 2010 has reached 42. Besides Nokia, Samsung Electronics (Samsung Electronics), South Korea’s LG Electronics (LG) and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications major mobile phone manufacturers such as battery makers and other parts manufacturers were also cited.

Method of eliminating user concerns about food, in addition to wireless, there are other methods. It goes without saying, which is to develop a greater capacity rechargeable batteries. Made a variety of methods and curricula for subjects who were great hopes is the negative electrode material is silicon (Si) of the lithium-ion battery. With the graphite anode current than silicon integrate more than 10 times the theoretical capacity. A recently announced the conduct of the charge and discharge of the results of more than 1000 research, concrete measures are gradually.

But I have a little obsessed. In this new generation of lithium-ion battery in the process of development, as envisaged applications, mobile devices, but does not appear in the first place. The researchers aim to electric cars and hybrid vehicles. In the “Nikkei Electronics” January 11, 2010, published a special issue, “Li-ion batteries in a new era” of the interview, “research and development for mobile devices has ended. Currently working on lithium-ion batteries for automotive R & D, the different battery manufacturers impressive unanimity. Judging by the size of the market, this view can be considered correct. However, because of the situation as the beginning of this article that these days I firmly believe that in the department close to everyday life, there are great needs. I firmly believe that lithium-ion battery cell can further develop the time has come.

Pink HP Mini 210

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

There’s no telling whether HP actually plans to release a netbook looking quite like this in the US… but Wireless Goodness spotted a new pink HP Mini 210 at the FCC web site. And it doesn’t just have a pink keyboard and chassis… it also has plaid lid and touchpad with multiple shades of pink and purple. It’s an… interesting aesthetic choice.

Spec-wise, this model has a Gobi2000 wireless module for connecting to 3G wireless networks around the globe. No word on whether that’ s a standard feature or simply an option.

HP currently offers the HP Mini 210 netbook in 5 designs. You can get it in “black crystal,” “sonoma red,” “pacific blue,” “silver crystal,” or the gold and orange butterfly pattern of the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition.
